8 Geography D with Ms Tomasi have been making terrariums as part of their current topic “Water in the World”. Terrariums are miniature ecosystems which are self-contained and self-sufficient. Made with a selection of plants, soil or sand substrate and the presence of water, they illustrate the role and importance of water in a functioning ecosystem. These terrariums will be monitored over the next few weeks to check for any changes including assessing the relative health of the ecosystem.
