HSIE / Business Studies Teacher
Permanent full-time, commencing January 2025
Edmund Rice College, Wollongong is seeking applications for a permanent full-time HSIE / Business Studies Teacher to commence January 2025.
To be considered for this role, you will need to possess the following:
• Relevant tertiary qualifications and approval to teach in NSW, specifically appropriate qualifications for teaching Stage 4 & 5 HSIE, and Stage 6 Business Studies
• Prior experience in teaching HSIE / Business Studies
• The ability and willingness to teach Religious Education (desirable)
• An understanding and commitment to the Mission and Ethos of the College
• The ability to relate to boys and a practical knowledge of boys’ education issues and initiatives
• Have highly developed interpersonal skills and a proven ability to work collaboratively with all staff
• Be an innovative and engaging classroom teacher
• Ability to create a positive learning environment in the classroom and promote student responsibility for learning
• Commitment to academic excellence
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Possess a valid Working with Children Check
• Knowledge and appreciation of WHS
• A commitment to the child safeguarding principles
• The ability and willingness to contribute to the extra-curricular life of the College
The Process
