Enriching

Sometimes, the most enriching experiences are those beyond the classroom. Our co-curricular program is designed to cater to the diverse interests of growing boys. It endeavours to provide students with the chance to explore their passions, build confidence and develop talents.

Our Pastoral Care program is at the forefront of enriching our boys’ experience. Our dedicated Pastoral Care Teachers, as well as our on-site professional counsellors, help provide a supportive environment that allows for growing adolescent boys to establish healthy relationships, emotional resilience and social skills.

The College boasts a very strong tradition of sporting success at both individual and team level. Representative pathways allow talented athletes to pursue success in both the NSW Combined Catholic Schools (CCC) and NSW Combined Independent Schools (CIS) systems. Many of our students and teams frequently enjoy success at Regional, State and National levels.

In addition, our extensive cultural programs enable students who enjoy chess, public speaking or debating to represent the school at many events across the Illawarra and state. We also participate in the Da Vinci Decathlon and Tournament of Minds academic competitions

The College’s Outdoor Education Program is one of the most extensive in the Illawarra with students from Years 7-10 experiencing overnight camps. These experiences aim to challenge our boys while building independence, resilience and collaborative relationships. Boys in Years 7 & 8 spend three days participating in outdoor pursuits such as mountain biking and canoeing, while those in Year 9 spend five days skiing in Thredbo. In Year 10, students return to the bush for a five-day outdoor camp, hiking, canoeing and abseiling. Our senior students also participate in off-campus retreats which foster spiritual growth and reflective thinking on their roles as leaders of the school and the wider community.

The College also offers an array of leadership opportunities and clubs, including film, robotics and sustainability, which provides further avenues for students to broaden and enrich their experience.
