Year 12 Commemorative Jacket

Starting from next week, students in Year 12 will be allowed to wear their Commemorative jacket on Thursdays and Fridays. Up until this point Year 12 jackets have only been worn on Fridays. This is great news for the cohort and is recognition for their outstanding start to the 2023 school year.

NSW Beach Volleyball Schools Cup Success

Edmund Rice College Year 12 students, Hugh Akmacic and Caleb Barnes participated in the NSW Beach Volleyball Schools Cup. There were 52 teams across 12 schools competing on the sands of Manly Beach on Wednesday, 15th March 2023. It was a great day for beach volleyball with light winds and a warm 25 degrees on the sand.

It was a great effort from the boys going undefeated in pool play and then winning against more fancied teams from Scots College in the quarter finals, and Killarney Heights High School in the semis. Hugh and Caleb came 2nd overall in division 1 boys, losing the final to two of Australia’s best junior beach volleyballers from Balgowlah Boys High School.
