U15 AFL NSW Schools Cup Quarter Finals

This year, the College experienced a delightful combination of eased Covid restrictions and favourable weather conditions, heralding the return of the Junior AFL to our pathways program. The Junior AFL team embarked on their journey by participating in the Illawarra region event, a series of round-robin matches culminating in a thrilling final. Edmund Rice emerged as the undefeated champions, clinching victory convincingly.

This remarkable achievement propelled the team to the South Coast Regional finals, where they faced off against formidable junior AFL squads hailing from Wollongong to Bega. This event showcased top-tier football skills and offered an exciting spectacle for all. While the Edmund Rice team secured one win and endured two losses, narrowly missing out on a finals spot, they showcased unwavering pride, exceptional teamwork, and a commitment to playing the game with integrity, reflecting the College’s values.
