On Wednesday 24 March a group of fifteen highly interested Year 10 students who are intent on pursuing careers in the Construction Industry completed a day of practical learning at Fusion Training. The day entitled, “Try a Day in Construction” gave students access to expert training and information sessions aimed at giving them the edge when it comes to applying for apprenticeships in the coming years.
The major practical task completed by each of the boys was the construction of a Wooden Bird Box with the end results being of a very high standard.
With a number of the boys looking to post school pathways in the Construction Industry, this was a most beneficial day and we as a College community thank Fusion Training and NSW Vocational Education and Training for providing these Year 10 students with such a wonderful experience.
