Last week Edmund Rice hosted the Sydney Chess Academy Interschool Chess Challenge – Illawarra heat. It really was a wonderful day and all 125 participating students from across the Illawarra played valiantly.
Edmund Rice College took home first place in the secondary schools division. Three of our students also took home 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in the individual prize giving’s. They were Lance Koschny (Y12), Mehmed Ceylan (Y10), and Cooper Newell-Glaser (Y10) respectively.
