On Tuesday evening four students from Edmund Rice competed in the South Coast Public Speaking Competition held at Holy Spirit College, Bellambi.

Patrick Sirianni of Year 10, and Sam Stevin, Isaac Mitrevski and Daniel Morozov of Year 7, competed against more than 100 students from schools across the Illawarra and Southern Highlands. The students explored concepts such as the destructive power of lies and the nature of fear and courage. All students gave considered and well-prepared speeches that were entertaining and thought provoking.

Congratulations to Isaac Mitrevski and Daniel Morozov who were awarded first place in their respective rooms. A wonderful result.
