Edmund Rice College had 11 students compete at the NSWCCC Swimming Championships on Monday 29 March at Olympic Park Swimming Centre Homebush. Our students recorded some phenomenal results, including the Opens 4x50m Medley Relay, consisting of Blake McKay, Alistair Gorgijovski, Omar Matar & Ben Giason, who took out the gold with a new record of 1:56.68! Lachlan Cole of Year 10 received 4 silver medals for the 50, 100, 200 & 400m Freestyle, and Alistair Gorgijovski who won 2 silver medals in the 50 & 100m 17+ Breaststroke events. Lachlan Cole, Omar Matar, Ben Giason, Blake McKay and Alistair Gorgijovski will now represent NSWCCC at the NSW All Schools Swimming Championships.
