The NSWCCC Athletics Championships were held at Sydney Olympic Park on Monday 12 September.

The following students qualified for the event, after they performed exceptionally well at the Diocesan Carnival earlier in the Term; Alec Rochaix, Chase Grant, Christiano Haddad, Joe Hinds, Milton Stepanovski, Jack Atkins, Jye Barnes, Patrick Carolan, Charles Edwards and Levi Fien.

Year 10 student Joe Hinds, won the College’s only gold medal, with a brilliant run in the U16 800m. Joe also narrowly missed out on a podium finish in the 1500m, placing 4th!

Year 10 student Chase Grant collected two medals at the Championships. Chase ran personal best times, in the U15 400m where he placed 2nd in the 200m where he finished 3rd.
