Stage 5 Industrial Technology- Engineering students designed and constructed Co2 Dragsters in the Technologies workshops using the knowledge they had gained from the aerodynamics theory content of the unit.
Students developed a technical drawing of their desired design and in the workshops turned their concept from design into reality. They shaped and fabricated their dragster from a balsa blank and with the addition of wheels, axles and paint, each finished Dragster expressed its own identity.
The unit concluded with students testing the speed of their Co2 Dragster on the track by racing against classmates. All three classes have created outstanding aerodynamic automotive designs and are to be congratulated for a great term in Engineering!
