Students in Years 9 and 10 iStem have enjoyed the challenge of designing and deploying Bottle Rockets in a competition across all three elective classes. In their design students have had to consider weight, volume of liquid, air pressure, size of bottle, shape of cone and fin. So far Lachlan Cole and Caleb Barnes are leading in the challenge with a projectile distance of 60m. Next week students will be including 3D Print parts to their Bottle Rockets in the hope of extending the projectiles distance and ultimately winning the challenge.
