ERC Updates

From the Deputy Principal

TERM 3 – UCI Road World Championships

We have had some queries about the upcoming Wollongong UCI Road World Championships and the disruption this will cause across this region. As you know, ERC is not directly impacted by road closures between 19/9 – 23/9 (week 10); therefore, like those schools in our proximity, we will be running as normally as possible. The bus company has informed us that school services will still operate to and from ERC; however, some routes may take an alternative route if affected by the road closures. Currently, bus companies are still in consultation with Transport NSW to review each school run in the region and we will pass on any information and updates as they come to hand.

With students and staff attending ERC from across the full length and breadth of the Illawarra, it will depend on exactly where people reside as to the impact on their travel time.

Students are reminded that they are required to wear their College winter uniform each day (other than their scheduled Wednesday Sport day) and bring their sports uniform to change into, when they have a PDHPE or PASS practical lesson.

Thank you for your assistance in maintaining winter uniform expectations and individual grooming requirements as we return to Semester 2.

Families requiring RAHT kits to ensure the safe attendance each day of their son, can collect more kits from the College Front Office. Please do not hesitate to contact the office if you are in this situation of not being able to access RAHT kits for testing.

Communication and calendared events for the Year 12 cohort in their final term of schooling will be provided to families early next week, by way of letter. This will include information regarding the Trial HSC requirements and expectations, Trial Reporting information, Year 12 Graduation information and associated events organised to celebrate the achievement of completing their secondary education.
