Yesterday, a group of students from Years 7 to 12 assisted with the schools Biannual Waste Audit. The Waste Audit’s objective is to introduce the idea to our students and staff that garbage doesn’t just disappear once it is collected in our garbage can. The boys collected the rubbish from all around the school before sorting it and recording its weight. This audit will show students the quantity of their waste at school which is recyclable, with a school–wide attitude towards Reducing, Reusing, Recycling and Rotting waste being achieved. Altogether there was over 130 kilos of waste collected with 64% of it being recyclable paper waste.
