Week 5 and 6 have seen students access a range of exciting and important service opportunities at the College and in the local community. With students across every year level contributing to social justice initiatives at school, engaging in their senior project placements, volunteering in their local sporting and surf life saving clubs and assisting within their faith communities, it is difficult to choose what service to highlight. Below is just a snapshot of the incredible CSL opportunities that our boys have been getting involved in over the last fortnight.
Clean Up ERC Day
Last Tuesday, 22 August, Years 7-11 spent their extended Pastoral Care Period learning about environmental justice and being a steward of creation. Their focus on the environment culminated with students putting stewardship into action by collecting rubbish and plastic from across the College grounds. Students’ engagement in the activity saw significant amounts of rubbish and plastics collected around from the school grounds and deposited responsibly. It was terrific to see our students improve the environment around our beautiful campus, not to mention the significance of witnessing the College community come together to stand in solidarity with our shared planet.
