During Term 4 we will undertake our Christmas collection for the Vinnies Homeless Hub and the Wollongong Homeless Hub. However, knowing that there is a high demand for their services, I want to share the Centre details with you.

The Vinnies Homeless Hub is located at 12-16 Miller St, Coniston. The Vinnies Van operates out of this centre and provides emergency food relief and items for daily living to people experiencing homelessness and those living in difficult circumstances, 5 days a week. We used to have students who did their CSL with the Hub but since regulations changed to allow only those who have already turned 18 to be involved in their service delivery, we have not been able to go out with them. However, adults are always welcome volunteers! Additionally, in planning for Christmas, you may consider thinking about how you can support people who are experiencing homelessness this year.

The Vinnies Homeless Hub and the Vinnies Van would be grateful for any one off or regular donations of food items, small toiletry items, sleeping bags, warm jackets, gloves, beanies, and snacks/poppers for school aged children. The Vinnies Homeless Hub accepts donations 9am-12pm Monday-Friday.
