Edmund Rice College kicked off the highly anticipated 2023 Bill Turner season on Monday, May 29th, with a thrilling opening fixture against Illawarra Grammar School at the renowned Sir Ian McLennan Park in Kembla Grange.

After having a bye in the first round, our talented boys were eager to get their season underway, fueled by their impressive performance as regional champions last year. Despite the challenging windy conditions that posed some difficulties in maintaining possession, our boys showcased their skills and determination, delivering an exceptional display of aggressive attacking football. The final result was a resounding victory with a remarkable 13-0 scoreline in our favor.

This impressive win propels our team to the next round of the highly competitive Bill Turner Cup. Our next challenge awaits us on June 16th as we face off against Kiama in what promises to be a thrilling match. The team’s remarkable performance is a testament to their hard work, dedication, and the exceptional coaching they have received.
