Last Monday, Edmund Rice were proud to host the Illawarra heat for the Sydney Chess Academy’s Interschool Chess Challenge. Over ninety students attended from across ten schools, with two students even making the drive from Bega!

As a College, we played extremely well on the day, placing 1st in the high school division. One of our students, Angus Allen also placed 4th out of sixty students in the individual high school rankings.

The day ran smoothly and was a wonderful opportunity for students from across the region to converse and compete. We look forward to hosting again next year!
