Sandon Point On Country Excursion

In Week 7, the College had the privilege of sending twenty-six boys from Years 7-12 out to Sandon Point Tent Embassy (Kuradgi).

We were led by Uncle Peter Button who shared with the students the history of the land, significance of the remains found at Sandon Point, the sacred fire that was lit there and our responsibility to maintain culture and knowledge in a respectful way. The excursion finished with Year 8 student Daniel Button leading the boys through a smoking ceremony.

The College would like to thank Uncle Peter Button for welcoming our students to this significant site and for sharing with our students his rich knowledge.
