CONGRATULATIONS to Matthew Carolan for being the first student to correctly match all 10 book covers with their extracts in the Match the Book Cover with an Extract Competition. There were 77 entries and it wasn’t an easy competition. Matthew has $15 to spend at the canteen.

Also congratulations to William Ecroyd who has been awarded a merit for correctly matching 8 out of the 10 covers.

All of these brand new books are now available on the shelves to be borrowed. So if any of the extracts piqued your interest, race in to be the first to borrow the books!!!

Even though the competition has closed, everyone both students and parents alike are welcome to have a go and see how many correct matches they can make. Looking for elements in the covers that would allude to the themes or clues in the extracts involves visual literacy skills. It might be fun to do as a family and can be attempted in short spurts of time. The Competition Form will let you know how you go along.
