We congratulate the students that represented the College at the Combined Schools ANZAC Service which was held at the Wollongong Cenotaph on Friday, the 28th of April.
The ANZAC service holds great significance for our College, and the students’ involvement was an essential part of the ceremony. The musicians performed two ANZAC hymns and accompanied the local Primary School choirs with both the Australian and New Zealand national anthem. Their contribution to the service was significant, and it is a credit to their hard work and commitment to their craft. The band members were: Patrick Sirianni, Aaron Wiersma, Jaxon Towers, Timothy Armitage, KJ Sullivan and Julian Eckermann. The students were accompanied by Mr Bonaccorso and Mr Haybittle.
In addition to the group of musicians that performed at the event, the College Captain, Louis Villella was given the honour of being the Master of Ceremonies for the event and carried the role with great confidence. Timothy Armitage and Rueben Grundy proudly presented the ANZAC Wreath on behalf of the College whilst Tyler Oliver and Stirling Roper represented the College as part of the Australian Navy Cadet Unit.
We thank Mrs Knowles and Mrs Hurley for their assistance with preparations for the event.
