Public Examination Results 2008
The Higher School Certificate results for last year’s
senior class were again outstanding.
The highlights included:
- David Fitzgerald (UAI 98.7) and Mitchell Taylor
(UAI 98.15) both made the All Round Achievement list
for students gaining a band 6 result (90% or
greater) in 10 or more units. They joined 7 other
students from the Illawarra in gaining this
recognition.
- Another 10 students achieved a UAI above 90 and
over 50% of the students received first round
university offers.
- There were 46 band 6 results in over 18
different courses.
- Several courses achieved exceptional results
containing a number of students who achieved Band 5
or 6 (i.e. a mark of 80% or above) well in excess of
the statewide percentages. These were Legal Studies,
Ancient History, Design and Technology, Software
Design and Development, History Extension, Music,
Industrial Technology.

The students and teachers need
to be well satisfied with these achievements
which, it would be fair to say, probably
exceeded our expectations, if not our hope.
