At Edmund Rice College we have long recognised the benefits of technology in improving and enhancing the educational experience of our students. Last year we introduced Robotics into Stages 4 and 5 Technology subjects.
During Term 2, we plan to deliver a Robotics program for Year 6 students at St Brigid’s Catholic Primary School in Gwynneville. This program will provide an opportunity for selected students from Edmund Rice College to teach and assist students at St Brigid’s Catholic Primary School in Robotics challenges and activities.
Your son will primarily benefit from the opportunity to lead a group of students at primary school level and at the same time foster his interest and expertise in technology subjects. The voluntary time spent conducting these lessons will be recognised as Christian Service Learning hours.
The program will commence on Tuesday 2nd May from 2.15pm to 3.00pm and will continue each Tuesday until Week 9 of Term 2 Tuesday 20th June. Mr Milner and I will transport your son from the College to St Brigid’s by private vehicle. Students will be required to arrange their own transport home from St Brigid’s.
