Edmund Rice College 2018 HSC Results Snapshot
Edmund Rice College received some very strong HSC results in 2018. Among the many highlights were:
- The College Dux was Taj Busch, who received an ATAR of 95.45
- 14 students achieved ATARS above 90: Taj Busch, Jonathon Keys, Sam Bradbury, Jake Cavdarovski, Kaylan Castaldi, Juan Sanchez, Brodie Howson, Dallas Mojanovski, Jackson McBeath, Michael Sandona, Lachlan Dale, Lachlan Marks, William Whitehouse, Hugh Archer
- 42 entries in the HSC Distinguished Achievers’ List
- 28% of all course results were either a Band 5 or 6
- 25% of the boys in the cohort achieved at least 1 Band 6 result
- Edmund Rice College had the second highest number of entries at Band 6 level amongst the Catholic secondary schools in the local Illawarra area , behind St Mary’s Star of The Sea College (all girls)
- In percentage of band 6 results, boys at our College have performed strongly in comparison to boys in other Catholic schools in the Diocese.
- James Lindley was selected for inclusion in ArtExpress 2019. His photographic work will be exhibited at The Armory at Olympic Park in March 2019
- Nathan Issa, Joshua Shalala and Jaeden Mourmourakis were nominated in Industrial Technology for InTech 2018, the annual exhibition of outstanding student Major Projects
- 89% of the accelerated Studies of Religion 2 Unit Class received a Band 5 or 6

Edmund Rice College 2017 HSC Highlights
Edmund Rice College received some solid HSC results in 2017. Among the many highlights were:
- Ryan Neufeld, College Dux, received an ATAR of 96.65
- 28% of the cohort achieved an ATAR above 80
- The highest ATARS included Ryan Neufeld 99.65, Nick Tzortzis 96.55, Zac Damcevski 94.75, Hayden Welsh 92.85, Michael Cunzolo 92.15, Jared Cabor 91
- 35 entries in the HSC Distinguished Achievers’ List
- 85% of students who applied received early entry into University (56 students)
- 95% of the accelerated Studies of Religion 2 Unit Class received a Band 5 or 6
- All 119 students graduating in 2017 either entered university or other tertiary courses or gained employment.
- ERC courses above the state mean in 20 of the 31 courses
- Dylan Potter was chosen for Art Express with his photographic artwork Amour, An Ode To The Medici.
- Bailey Lamb was nominated in Industrial Technology (Automotive) for InTech 2018, the annual exhibition of outstanding student Major Projects
